'How many observe Christ's birthday! How few, his precepts! O! 'tis easier to keep Holidays than Commandments. ' -Benjamin Franklin

My philosophy on education

What is intelligence?
To the English language, a certain denotation is definite in this word. However, to the connotation of this word, I leave a mire of ambiguity for the reader to discern from my words beyond this point here..
Ok- I feel with intelligence it's far too much a thing of discretion to some, a thing of power to others, and an unknowing sphere of humanity to others yet. What does the above mentioned mean, when translated out of my native "what the hell";
My supposition to you is this- I feel intelligence can be of any origin, and shouldn't be molested by compulsory education standards for what is and isn't hip. This is just as bad as preteens pushing each other into otherwise undesired behavior because of each others invasive stares. What, is big brother finally pushed his jurisdiction so far into us that he pulls our mental strings, our thoughts he monitors;
CENSORS? Furthermore, I think it's best sometimes just to appreciate things for what they are instead of tarnishing and plundering minds like the grounds of Sierra Leone; only this ground is plundered with could be minds of brilliance, could be thoughts to procure safety to our next generation, all because we are afraid of the obscure, or eclectic thinkers. When someone has an ailment that exhibits mixed intelligence we call it Autism, yet when one has a mind that isn't particularly sharp in Literature or Mathematics or whatever else, we claim these students or youths as brain dead, before their true talents have a chance to proliferate.
As they lose confidence, they lose the will to learn, if you didn't know, you cannot learn unless you enjoy something. Ok,Ok- That is to say, one can learn whether one enjoys what they're reading or not; but! One cannot learn in an effective manner, or hope to have efficient retention.
I'm not exactly for the total advocacy of positive reinforcement. Some acts do indeed need the "strong" hand approach haha, but for sake of argument, when we're speaking strictly on the level of academia, it seems best to encourage learning, rather than forsake it as something we must do.
I mean, here in American we've had a declination in literacy, currently "no child left behind" big brothers surname; it's derivative is allowing our children to actually fall behind. We allot these funds for the aid of students, but we don't have the teachers in the room; or we don't have the motivation; but whatever the case is, I say just like everything else, if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right!

Look around people, do you want to learn Chinese? I'm not speaking of bigotry, just walk with me for a second! It's twenty years from now:
  1. Just take a wild guess who's language is the international language of commerce?
  2. if you hadn't taken my attypically overt comments into the light, I'm saying our world as America the great, will falter!

Unless we have a strong generation to be the forerunners in science, in technology, in life and industry in general. We need to watch our backs.

  • Sixty years from now

  • Now you need to learn Chinese just to be functional

  • The stuff above is extreme, I'm not trying to indoctrinate everyone I know into some anarchist mind state; since that's not even mine. Just trying to give you an idea of what might become of us. Not like I'm the first to say it, I just tried to present the steak with a different seasoning..

    Did I succeed
